GoBoat London is the only self-drive, powered boating experience in central London, and its mission is to make London's canals accessible to all. Throughout 2018 captains and crews have been exploring the Regent's and Grand Union Canals, from GoBoat's base in Merchant Square, Paddington, to Little Venice and beyond.
2018 saw 60,000 passengers covers 80,000 miles, between them getting through 7,000 picnics. Marriage proposals rose to seven this year, all accepted! Popularity with families and their pets grew, with 450 dogs joining passengers aboard GoBoat. Press trips soared to 39, including a special BBC Breakfast broadcast live from Little Venice. The free, weekday Paddington Water Taxi clocked up an impressive 2,135 passengers.
