Merchant Square are embracing inner peace this March with a programme of activities designed to channel calming thoughts, promote healthy living and encourage creativity. On board the Barge Fiodra you will be able to try your hand at yoga, poetry, theatre, art and enjoy film screenings in this alternative micro-cinema touring our waterways. Hop aboard for a beer and some gourmet popcorn in the cosy Saloon Cinema.
The month will start with the launch of 180 floating origami boats. Slowly sip a botanical gin or fresh juice and tuck into healthy, delicious culinary offerings from the food stalls at Merchant Square.
Designed by artist Steve Messam, the flotilla will be unveiled at the Floating Pocket Park at 6:30pm on Thursday 1 March, when everyone is welcome. The boats will change colour; creating a calming, trance-like sequence of light reflected in the water.
