Youth Works Career Day

Youth Works Career Day

Young people are being invited through the doors of Marks & Spencer’s Head Office at Waterside House on Wednesday 24 October, for a Careers Day organised in partnership with the Prince’s Trust. The event will carry a dual benefit – equipping young people with employability skills through a series of presentations and talks delivered by senior colleagues from the company, whilst fundraising for the Prince’s Trust.

The Prince’s Trust supports disadvantaged young people; empowering them to enter jobs, education and training through accredited courses, specialist support and mentoring. Marks & Spencer are encouraging people to book a young person they know onto their career day, or even sponsor a place for one of 80 young people at local secondary schools and colleges, who have been offered a free place.

For young people aged 16-25: The cost of the all-day event is £25, to include workshops on CV writing, dressing for success and employability. There will be employees from a range of M&S departments; including law, graphic design, retail and IT, who will share insights and offer advice to delegates. Lunch and refreshments will be provided and the day will run from 9am – 5pm.

If you work in or attend a local school or college, are aged 16-25 and would be interested in a free place at this event, please contact our Community Programme Manager, Emily. If you would like to book a paid place, or sponsor a place, tickets can be purchased here.
