“ Smart, modern and scrupulously clean hotel in good location ”

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 march 2017 on tripadvisor

I wanted a quiet hotel as close to Paddington railway station as possible at a reasonable rate. Hotel Indigo exceeded my expectations in every respect (though I did not eat there at any point).
Quiet hotels in busy central London locations are almost impossible to find, but Hotel Indigo came close to perfection with triple-glazed windows muffling all but the most intrusive noises (police siren and car horn) combined with slatted blinds and heavy fabric blinds to minimise light from street lamps. A heavy inner door helped eliminate noise from the corridor, a well thought through inclusion to the room.
Before booking I read other Trip Advisor reviews and many commented on small rooms, for this reason I deliberately booked a slightly larger room (2 people for 2 nights don't want to be tripping over one another). The space was compact and efficiently used if not over-generous. The bed was large, and very firm, there were two other seating options and a reasonable wardrobe with plenty of storage plus safe and fridge. The bathroom was well designed and the shower generously proportioned with a rain-head for that touch of luxury.
Lighting options in the room were pleasantly varied, there was a very large television screen and a kettle and Nespresso coffee machine, though the complimentary capsules were limited (to three, two of which were decaff) and not enough ordinary tea-bags for more than 2 cups in 24-hours which was a shame given that water and soft drinks in the fridge were complimentary under the terms of my booking.
Cleanliness in the room corridors and common spaces was exceptional, admittedly the hotel is either new or has been recently refurbished so it does not suffer from tired and scuffed paint etc which can give some hotels a run-down feel, in this case it adds to the overall feeling that the Indigo is clean and well maintained. we liked the colourful capets and fabrics contrasting well with the plain white walls and subdued wood tones. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful.
We will definitely consider staying here again and I'm happy to recommend it.
