“ Great Hotel ”

Given that I was in London only for one night, I wanted something close to Paddington Station so I could have easy access from/to Heathrow. This hotel turned out to be great. It's literally just steps from the station, and in a vibrant neighborhood with quite a few food options. The hotel offered a super friendly greeting. My room was small but efficient, and quite clean. No view to speak of, but for a short stay this didn't matter to me. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet for being on such a busy street. I ate one meal at the hotel restaurant for convenience, which was good. Otherwise ate out in the neighborhood. There are lots of fast options, all fairly casual as far as I could tell, and lots of middle eastern cuisine. A small but nice park is steps away from the hotel, so you can sit outside and enjoy your morning coffee. Also not a long walk (about 20 minutes) to Hyde Park, and then to Mayfair and beyond. The station of course also offers easy tube access. The hotel isn't cheap for what it is, however it's on par with other similar hotels in London. Would happily stay here again for a short business trip.
